Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We miss all of you who we don't see often enough and we love all of you who we see too much. We have been so busy this christmas season that it has really flown by. But I am happy and delighted with the kind of busy that we have been. It has been the kind of busy that leads to tighter family ties, smiling childrens faces, full tummies, and warm hearts. This year has been a series of ups and downs, with the economy how it is and all the moral issues that surround us all the time, it is such a relief to find that christmas still brings the feelings of old. I feel like kid again, anxiously waiting for christmas day to come, but for different reasons now that I am grown. I can't wait to GIVE. I can't wait to see the shining faces of my children on christmas eve as we read about the TRUE meaning of christmas. I am so excited to feel the magic in the air as the children lay out the cookies and carrots for old St. Nick, hoping that maybe, just maybe they will catch a glimpse of him..... or at least hear the sleigh bells. But above all, I love the feeling of closeness that surrounds christmas. It seems like silly, petty annoyances become a little more silly and petty at christmas time. The cold weather and the snow brings us closer to each other, literally and figuratively (sometimes that is unfortunate, as Cole and Quyn DO NOT play well together). Whatever it is, I don't care. I am happy and so is my family........ usually. So Merry Christmas to all, we love you all, and hope that your season is as bright as ours.
